Catalogue Description:
Chalice, gilt bronze. Circular foot with slightly sloping vertical rim and concave platform from which rises a tapering conical stem. Stem supports thistle shaped bowl. Platform and stem with cast, swirling thistle leaves; bowl ornamented with thistle leaves on lower section, the upper section in imitation of thistle pod. Cast in letters around base rim: THE ENGINEERS CLUB: DECEMBER 9th: 1907. CONDITION - Some corrosion to surface.
