Catalogue Description: Birdhouse, red clay, wood and wire. Birdhouse is constructed of salt glazed sewer pipe. Birdhouse is in the shape of a large mushroom. The lower front of the house has a hole and a landing spot for the birds. The 'stem' of the mushroom or body of the house is rather uniform in its cylindrical shape. Whereas, cap or top of the house is an uneven conical shape with areas of raised surface. A thick rusted wire from which the birdhouse hung, is still looped through the two holes in the top. The bottom interior support is not secure. Condition: Good overall condition. Minor chips are visible. Wear to glaze and loss of color probably due to exposure to elements.
