Catalogue Description: Plate, glazed earthenware. The molded form is in the shape of a large flower (sunflower). The center area of the plate is large, circular and flat. The steeply flared lip flares outward. The lip is divided into eighteen sections by vertically incised lines. In the center of each section are raised circular dots. The edge of the plate has alternating pointed and rounded scallops, which suggest petals. The very edge of the plate is raised slightly. The overall color of the plate is deep yellow. Piece could have possibly served as a base for a soup tureen or punch bowl. Condition: Good overall condition. The glaze is inconsistent and is brighter in some areas than others.
