Catalogue Description:
Large, deep, thick-walled polychrome hand decorated molded bowl. Straight sided body tapering at bottom to foot rim. Upper half of body in light beige decorated with three sets of evenly spaced twin groupings under rounded brown lip. Each grouping includes one bunch of purple grapes, outlined in brown, proper right. In the middle, one abstract light brown leaf forms a reverse S-shape, the bottom half of the leaf dipping into the lower half of the body. Proper left, one green five-part simplified grape leaf with dark brown outline dips below the midsection of the body. The midsection is articulated by a narrow beige band with dark brown outlining. Thin, dark brown vines spring between each grouping which is paired with its closely-spaced twin. The three pairs are spaced evenly around the perimeter. The lower portion of the body, beige and largely undecorated, tapers to a simple, circular rim in brown. Purple interior. Condition: Very good
