Catalogue Description:
Black terracotta vessel with flat base. Base extends out to the center of vessel and slopes inward until reaching thick rim that slightly flares outward. Incised decoration at upper portion of the body includes vertical bands with cross-hatched pattern. Four rows of grooves encircle neck of vessel. Lower half of body exhibits low relief vertical striations which may be vestige of its construction from vertical coils of clay. Surface overall is burnished on exterior and some areas exhibit what appear to be brush marks.
