Catalogue Description: Curvilinear, high-backed "Power Play" armchair made of laminated white maple strips, metal screws and plastic glides. Chair parts made of bent "sheets" of parallel strips of 2" wide wooden bands with a small space in between bands. Chair back and rear "leg" made of continuous sheet of 6 bands that curve over top of back and run to curved feet at floor. Seat is a square pillow-like shape made of woven strips. Arms and side of chair are continuous unit formed by a double "S" shape, starting at the bottom edge of the armrest, curving over to form armrest, then down to floor where they curve back up to support seat. Armchair has matching ottoman (1993.71.2). CONDITION: Undamaged.
