Catalogue Description:
Silver sugar bowl raised on four legs. Hemispherical bowl extended at bottom into continuous, short cylindrical base; band of basketwork pattern around exterior of base; interior of bowl is gilded. Bowl raised on four splayed legs which are molded to look like bamboo stalks and have scrolled feet. Two of these opposing legs extend upward along side of bowl and form ear-shaped handles. At top juncture of each handle, the bamboo stalk sprouts a thin branch with leaves, berries, and flowers that is applied to the bowl. Condition: Good; light scratching, heavily tarnished on handles and legs.
