Catalogue Description:
Side chair with aluminum and wood elements. Chair back and back legs formed by continuous piece of squared aluminum tubing bent into inverted "U" shape. Wooden stretcher runs between back stiles about 4" above seat; back splat consisting of five evenly spaced wooden strips running between metal frame at top of chair and wooden stretcher. Wooden seat is trapezoid shape (wider at front) and scooped out to conform to human figure; supported by seat rail of 3 1/2" high aluminum strip with six horizontal grooved channels; this strip runs around the legs and has a soldered seam at center back. Front legs of wood, rectangular in form and taper toward feet. All legs set on metal disks. All parts attached with screws and bolts. CONDITION: Fair, shows use; scratches and nicks all over in both wood and metal parts, especially at feet.
