Catalogue Description:
Iron Ethiopian hand cross. Upper cross composed of diamond-shaped openwork design featuring silhouetted birds and crosses along its edges. Central shaft is cylindrical. At the middle of the shaft is a ridged section 1 1/4 in. long. Lower tablet is a rectangle. Each end of cross is coated with black patina. Condition: Good overall. Upper cross and lower tablet covered in black patina made of organic materials.
