Catalogue Description: Bronze applique of a walking lion, head frontal. Tang for attachment under each foot and on top of head. Cross bar on back of each foot. Probably representing the god Mahes, a votive offering? Condition: Broken across rear leg and tail. One paw missing. One chip on upper body (top edge). Tang on head broken. Considerable corrosion on body. Rear leg repaired.
