Catalogue Description:
Wooden chest with lacquer decoration showing red background on which landscape scenes, animals, human figures, flowers, leaves, etc. are represented in various colors. The attached cover has a flat top and sloping sides. On the cover the word "Independencia" appears above an eagle. The interior of the chest is red and only the inside of the cover is decorated with a bird and flower design. The date 1878 appears on the inside of the cover above bird.
