Catalogue Description:
Teapot, silver and bone, with elaborate repoussé decorations; part of a 5-piece tea and coffee service. Squat spherical body raised on round, slightly domed pedestal; round, flat hinged lid at top with molded flower finial; curving spout; opposing, squared handle that rises high above pot, two bone rings near collars of handle. Repoussé decorations: body covered with naturalistic garden scene with trees, flowers, potted plants, birds, and a basket of fruit; lid covered with flowers; spout has large leaf and palmette forms; handle covered with flowers and has ram's head at upper, outside corner; beaded and foliate bands around base of pedestal.
