Catalogue Description:
Pewter teapot with hinged lid; Queen Anne style. Pear-shaped body with continuous footed base. Attached ear-shaped handle with scrolled grips in metal painted black. Opposing spout rises almost vertically in elongated S-shape; flat cut oval opening. Hinged lid rises to steep, tapering dome surmounted by finial of disk and beads. CONDITION: Fair; one side of teapot misshapen with multiple dents; paint loss in handle; disk of finial has irregular edge (cut off?); some corrosion on spout.
