    "CUR" at the beginning of an image file name means that the image was created by a curatorial staff member. These study images may be digital point-and-shoot photographs, when we don\'t yet have high-quality studio photography, or they may be scans of older negatives, slides, or photographic prints, providing historical documentation of the object.
    CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Symmetrical design. Bar across top and bottom. Also bar up and down each side, these with dents (9 on each end) extending to edges. In the center, 2 pairs of "ram's horns" that curve inward from one view and oppose each other from the other. Deeply gouged design, large conical gouge on underside. Heavy greenish-black mottling all over, except one corner where someone has filed down to the brass. CONDITION: Much reddish matter in top interstices.
