"CUR" at the beginning of an image file name means that the image was created by a curatorial staff member. These study images may be digital point-and-shoot photographs, when we don\'t yet have high-quality studio photography, or they may be scans of older negatives, slides, or photographic prints, providing historical documentation of the object.
Tazza, silver. Circular dished plate modeled in the form of a woven basket draped with folded, fringed linen cloth. Linen "napkin" in center of plate engraved with damask-like pattern of a border with interlocking scrolls circling stylized blossoms; inner border of checkerboard design; field with vine, leaves, berries and blossoms. Plate sits on short, circular, slightly domed foot with plain molded foot rim and reeded band at juncture with plate.
CONDITION - Normal wear and scratches. Especially several long, thin scratches across surface of napkin. Tiny nicks to rim.
