    CAPTION Unknown. Log Cabin, 20th century. Glazed earthenware, 6 3/4 x 8 1/2 x 5 3/4 in. (17.1 x 21.6 x 14.6 cm). Brooklyn Museum, Gift of Paul F. Walter, 1999.108.10. Creative Commons-BY

"CUR" at the beginning of an image file name means that the image was created by a curatorial staff member. These study images may be digital point-and-shoot photographs, when we don\'t yet have high-quality studio photography, or they may be scans of older negatives, slides, or photographic prints, providing historical documentation of the object.
CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Log cabin, brown, sewer pipe clay, salt glazed. The miniature log cabin has an exterior chimney, two windows, one doorway and a tiled roof. The individual logs are rather flat in appearance, and have a textured surface created through incised lines. Exterior chimney has a similar, although 'cleaner' design. Roof 'tiles' were created by incised lines. Rough, undecorated interior. Condition: Fair to good overall condition. Rough front surface above and below door space, which suggests a missing element. Minor chips throughout.
