    CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION (a) white bodied, elongated oval shape on a raised slightly flared foot. Aesthetic style design, orange band at rim. Repeated, continuous design transfer printed in blue, seven cranes in flight with orange breasts; small random circles below and between birds; at lower third of body, stylized continuous wave design in blue and orange. Lower part of foot has abbreviated wave design in blue and orange. Applied, ear shaped, bifurcated twig handles in blue with gold highlights to knots. (b) slightly domed, conforming, elongated oval lid with 'u' shaped cutout at one short end. Lower third of lid has repeat of pattern of main body. Finial is a bifurcated twig handle in blue with gold highlights. Condition: very good, normal wear to base.
