    CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION (a) ivory bodied, squat, spherical body, widening to a rounded shoulder and tapering to a slightly canted, circular foot. Aesthetic style design transfer printed in brown, below rim, repeating pattern contained in a band: diaper pattern border at top and bottom of band, repeated design of vase with painted blue fruit and dark green and pale green leaves, against a background of small scrolls and regularly spaced vertical chevrons. Painted, narrow blue band to rim and on lower third of foot. Applied, upward flaring, openwork handles with molded decoration highlighted in pale blue; either side of handle, molded ribbon, highlighted in pale blue. (b) slightly domed conforming lid with a mirrored central reserve, of a small child wearing a bonnet, carrying a book and fruit, against a background of a yellow painted wall and green painted trees, superimposed over branch design with blue painted fruit and dark green and pale green leaves. Openwork, applied rounded arch finial, highlighted in blue with molded ribbon on either side, highlighted in blue. Condition: (a) small chip to rim and light overall crazing. (b) small hairline crack at rim and light overall crazing.
