CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
Large silverplate and (a) glass punchbowl with (b) lid and (c) ladle. (a) Punchbowl: Heavy, large green glass punchbowl, with polished pontil mark, with pressed, silverplate overlay; overlay with wide, vertical, outward flaring rim and cut out design in the art nouveau style with raised round flowers and curvilinear trailing stems; on either side, a single, ear shaped cut-out handle, the whole on four, vertical feet with small cut out design. (b) Lid: dome shaped, set-in lid, with pressed floral curvilinear design, horizontal finial with small cut out design, with notch to one side for ladle, finial attached to lid on underside with nut and bolt. (c) Ladle: light weight ladle with deep, oval, angular shaped bowl (similar to a cocoa bean), to one side a pointed spout, attached, vertical long handle with handle end with four cut outs and arched end.
Condition: light tarnish, especially at rim and feet.
