Frida in New York

Photography

During Kahlo’s trip to New York in 1946, Nickolas Muray took a series of photographs of her and her sister Cristina on the rooftop of his apartment building at 18 East Forty-eighth Street. She wears a skirt and huipil similar to those on display nearby.


Durante el viaje de Kahlo a Nueva York en 1946, Nickolas Muray tomó una serie de fotografías de ella y su hermana Cristina en la azotea de su apartamento en la calle cuarenta y ocho, este de Manhattan, número 18. Viste una falda y un huipil parecidos a los que están en exhibición cerca de aquí.
