    CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Low, square side chair with turned, spiral carved front legs and shallow carving on back splat. Low chair, square back splat with three arched openings at center, with two, narrow, spiral vertical columns at center and one on each side. Upper section of back splat with light, shallow, floral and acanthus leaf carving, applied arched pediment with carving. Wide, square seat, slightly flaring outward at front; side rails shallow carved with ridge design; thick, rectangular, lower front rail, shallow carved in same pattern as back. Front legs consist of two short, carved spiral design legs with round disc feet, rear legs are straight with slight backwards slant. Modern floral upholstery. Condition: Good, with small area of loss on pediment, minor nicks to some carving. Upholstery stained and torn.
