"CUR" at the beginning of an image file name means that the image was created by a curatorial staff member. These study images may be digital point-and-shoot photographs, when we don\'t yet have high-quality studio photography, or they may be scans of older negatives, slides, or photographic prints, providing historical documentation of the object.
Lathe-turned stool made of walnut (planks glued together both horizontally and vertically). Round seat scooped out in center to conform to human body; on underside, tapers down to pedestal. Pedestal consists of a continuous shaft and base; shaft has three lathed sections of thick round disks that extend to point at center; circular base flares out toward floor and has rounded edge.
