"CUR" at the beginning of an image file name means that the image was created by a curatorial staff member. These study images may be digital point-and-shoot photographs, when we don\'t yet have high-quality studio photography, or they may be scans of older negatives, slides, or photographic prints, providing historical documentation of the object.
CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Semilunate box for red camwood powder (tukula). The cover is decorated with two ridges echoing its curved edge. Four short straight ridges radiate from the center to the straight edge. The rest of the cover is embellished with mixed geometric motifs, as are the sides of the box bottom. Condition: Good, but well used, with much surface detail worn away. Polished to a deep brown patina.
