    CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Brass casket with hinged lid. The four sides are chased and engraved with musicians playing instruments seated in circular medallions set in a foliate ground. Lid is hinged and under its handle is another seated musician figure. Base of lid has a guilloche pattern all around it and its sides have a repeated decorative inscription on a scrolling ground. Background of black resinous paste laid on the field.
