    CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Large dark brown tripod jar with hollow legs in the form of stylized human heads with thin rectangular slits for the eyes and mouth. The vessel has a squat, globular body; narrow neck; and flared, flat rim. The shoulders of the vessel are decorated with modeled appliqué animals (2 monkeys? and 2 crocodiles?), and vertical incised lines and bands of appliqué coffee-bean forms. The interior rim is covered with burnished red slip and there is red pigment around the appliqué animals. The ceramic style is La Cabaña Fine. Condition: fair; a section of the rim is broken and missing and a small pieced of it is plaster fill; two of the faces on the legs are chipped.
