"CUR" at the beginning of an image file name means that the image was created by a curatorial staff member. These study images may be digital point-and-shoot photographs, when we don\'t yet have high-quality studio photography, or they may be scans of older negatives, slides, or photographic prints, providing historical documentation of the object.
CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Tall bell shaped body in knotted & plied construction, beautifully executed in fine yarn. Surface decoration of raised diamond shaped ribbing. Some spaces are filled with small raised dots which follow diamond outlines, others with raised over-and-under woven pattern and dots. The bottom opening is an undecorated band. Probably related in technique to hats 22.1606 and 22.1626. Condition: Very good. Fibers strong and knotted structure intact. Slight staining in some areas. white powder is embedded in the surface. At the point where the final coarse of knots connected to the row above it, the structure has been slightly damaged.
