CAPTION Akhenaten, ca. 1352-1336 B.C.E., if ancient. Limestone Brooklyn Museum, Charles Edwin wilbour Fund, 37.565. Creative Commons-BY
CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Oblong limestone relief with profile of Akhenaten (?) or Nefertiti (?) on the left, and on the right a female head probably one of the princesses. No trace of color. Though quite well lmade, numerous small discrepancies, such as the shape and the partial detailing of the royal wig, indicate that this is a forgery.
