CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Standing wooden figure of a woman with separate arms mounted on an oblong base which is inscribed. Black wig, painted eyes, name lost. Condition: General condition good, wig split with some paint missing. Lower part of dress worn. Right leg split. Gesso on base has chipped taking with it the woman’s name leaving only the conventional funerary title of the deceased. Wood appears to be cedar and is heavily grained. Arms suspended on pivots. Base is ancient. Figure may be ancient.
