These study images may be digital point-and-shoot photographs, when we don\'t yet have high-quality studio photography, or they may be scans of older negatives, slides, or photographic prints, providing historical documentation of the object.
CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION This wooden club is the gunstock type but it is without a metal blade. It is ornamented with chip carving and brass tacks, but one side is decorated with incising applied by fire or a hot metal tool. The original Jarvis (collector) inscription for the piece reads," Chippeway War Club."
