    MARKINGS Scratched on underside of base: "Andre Fau"; other marks are stamped: "MADE IN FRANCE" in rectangle; "Boulogne" encircles side end and base of design for vase, also impressed.

    CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Vase or flowerpot, glazed white earthenware, essentially square in plan, with planed corners, giving rim of twelve-sided effect. Straight sloping sides of body decorated in relief with series of spear shaped leaves, pointing upward. Slightly flaring octagonal foot. Inside of bowl glazed in dark lavender shading to green; on outside, field of body is lavender; stylized leaves are creamy pink, outlined in dark pink. CONDITION - Excellent.
