Catalogue Description:
Lamp, pate de verre glass with wrought iron frame, electrified, (ensuite with pate de verre lamp), with rectangular platform turret sat each corner of the base, raised on flattened ball feet. The frame tapers to the top. The panels of the frame are filled with thick sections of pate de verre. One side has a golden, two-handled frame from which spout a pinecone and a pine branch (green). The back ground is green and the panel is bordered by a blue frame with laurel leaves below, gold and green leaves to either side and green triangles with yellow pendent drops above. Panel to the right of this: yellow grapes and green leaves, otherwise as above. To the right of this; nude headless and armless female figure (bathing Venus) with jar and drapery behind her. To the right of this: pink grapes with green leaves. Inside is an iron loop with light bulb inside and another affixed to a pate de verre pyramid in the form of pink grapes and green leaves. CONDITION - Finish on frame is worn; some corrosion. Crack runs through ankles of female figure. Otherwise good.
