Catalogue Description:
Teaspoon with plain bowl. First third of handle is undecorated. The decoration begins with small molded intersecting arches’ above which does a waving single stem flower with four small leaves surmount a stippled band with a central floret. Above this is a diagonal band with three florets and two geometric bands on either side of the diagonal. Above this is a horizontal band with zigzag design; there are three molded dots in each triangular area. There is a quarter circle motif at one corner below this band and three triangles surmounted by florets above this band. In the upper right corner of the pointed end of the handle is a motif of concentric circles with geometric and stylized floral designs. The reverse has a similar but abbreviated decoration. The sides of the handle are straight; the end of the handle that curves up slightly is a low pyramid. Pattern unknown. CONDITION; plating is very disc colored; it is a very dull gray. There are scratches and rust stains. The spoon is fairly light in weight and does not seem to be of very good quality, although the design is rather sophisticated.
