Catalogue Description:
One outer tine smoothly fused to its neighbor to create one broad tine with a notched point. First half of handle is undecorated. Decoration begins with two half anthemia symmetrically flanking the handle above which is a band of four molded lines. A horizontal band with two mirror image rows of five petals against vertical striations, all topped by another band of four horizontal molded lines divides next rectangular section. Above is a large empty field, then a horizontal band of five flowers against vertical striations, the whole bordered top and bottom by three horizontal lines. The handle ends in a gently flattened curve. Reverse is undecorated. Ascot Pattern. CONDITION - Good, slight overall scratching and minor plate loss on underside of tines.
