Catalogue Description: A silver-plate dessert fork with four straight tines. One outer tine is broader than the others and is connected to the neighboring tine with a web of metal, smooth on the reverse, but with tines articulated on front. The first third of the handle is decorated with a vertical series of chevrons highlighted by short "engraved lines" to lend a shadow effect. Above this is a squared area with a four pointed star with a stippled center marked by a raised dot. Above this the hand flares out and then culminates in a flattened end. This flared portion is decorated with a scrolling vine with three large five-petal flowers and two buds one above the other against a stippled ground, with a plain smooth area intended for initials. The reverse is undecorated. Unknown Pattern. CONDITION - Silver plate is particularly white and bright; overall scratches.
