Catalogue Description: Inlay or amulet representing Anubis attending a mummy on its bier. Opaque, light grass-green glass. The bier has at the head a lion’s head and forefeet, at the foot a lion’s tail and hind legs. A mummy lies on it and the god is seen beyond the mummy and bier; he faces to the right, holds a jar (?) on his raised left hand and lays his right on the mummy. Front in relief; back, rough and not quite flat; edges rolled over but following the general outline of god’s figure above bier; god’s feet and the legs of the bier rest on rolled over edge, probably the ground, rather than a formal base. Condition: A bit has been broken from the top above Anubis' left hand. There is a minute bit of gold leaf on Anubis’s wig, probably accidentally lodged there.
