Catalogue Description:
Limestone stopper for a canopic jar. The stopper is in the form of a jackal's head (Dewamutef). The jackal has a rather small face. The details of the eyes and brows are heightened by the use of black outlines. The front of the ears are marked with diagonally incised lines. The plug is short. Condition: Numerous chips; otherwise good.
