Catalogue Description: Dinner Plate, Porcelain. White body. Beige ground. Light-green border at rim edge. Middle rim with band of stylized monkeys with arms and legs out-stretched in light green, pink, and mauve. Inner rim with inscription with light-green band above and pink band below: "THERE - IS - NONE - LIKE - TO - ME - SAYS - THE - CUB - IN - THE - PRIDE - OF - HIS - EARLIEST - KILL - BUT - THE - JUNGLE - IS - LARGE - AND - THE - CUB - IS - SMALL - LET - HIM - THINK - AND - BE - STILL". Center plate is an opposed four-legged bear. In pink and mauve encircled by light-green snake with central light-green leafy plant with small half-figure top. One of a set of twelve dinner plates, all different, with quotes from R. Kipling; see 1990.145.16 - .27.
