Catalogue Description:
White-bodied molded urn shaped vase with painted harbor scene in squared reserve, all raised on square marbleized plinth. Trumpet shaped foot with white edge and stylized floral and swag decoration in gold on blue ground. Foot meets convex bottom of vase's bowl in projection with ribbed surface, painted gold with white "V" shapes imitative of gadrooning around circumference, rising to body of vase. Recto with painted harbor scene framed by a rectangle with canted corners, and stylized leaves in gold and white; verso with scrollwork and stylized leaves, all painted in gold on the dark blue background. Two opposing applied scrolled acanthus leaf applied molded handles, painted gold and white. Canted gilded ribbed rim with flat gray marbleized lip, projecting approximately three-quarters of an inch. Condition: Good.
