Catalogue Description:
"Tuxedo" pattern cup (a) and saucer (b) in white porcelain with vitreous glaze and transfer-printed decorations. Can-shaped cup (a), cylinder with simple arched handle. Rim decorated with series of small black squares. Three black squares around body of cup and four smaller squares near handle. Saucer (b), circular plate with wide rim; edge of rim decorated with border of small black rectangles; a black square appears in each quadrant of the rim; a black band outlines the slope of the dish of the plate but is broken under the four squares of the rim. The center of the plate has four black squares arranged in square pattern. Part of four-piece place setting (85.158.8-10a-b). CONDITION: (a) and (b) undamaged.
