Catalogue Description:
Plate, earthenware, round, slightly scalloped shape with blue under glaze transfer-printed decoration. Border: six groups of shells with seaweed and foliage. View: "Baltimore and Ohio Railroad," locomotive train with man riding on side, middle distance has another train, and houses in background with mountains behind. Source of view: published in "The American Travelling Broadside" (Boston, 1826). Condition: Large mark from kiln-stand at upper left border. Darker glaze in all the "joints" on back.
