Catalogue Description: Proper right wing (a): Archangel Gabriel (red robe, on green landscape) is depicted at the top of the panel. The figures depicted in the center of the panel are St. Francis (brown robe, cross, stigmata) and St. John the Baptist (green mantle, scroll, and fur tunic). The figures depicted in the lower portion of the panel are St. Catherine of Alexandria (green robe and wheel) and Mary Magdalene (red robe, box of ointment. Proper left wing (b): The Virgin Mary (in white robe) is depicted at the top of the panel. The figures depicted in the center of the panel are St. Jerome (Cardinal's robe, church) and St. Augustine (blue mantle trimmed with red). The figures depicted in the lower portion of the panel are St. Gregory (white robe, red mantle) and St. Anthony (blue mantle over dark red robe, crutch, and bell). The names of the saints are written in Greek characters at the side of each. The figures are painted on a gold ground and the halos, in gold also, are tooled.
