Description Silver-plate, with pointed elongated bowl with notched shoulders. Base of bowl is decorated with two asymmetrical carnations in high relief with curvilinear stems and leaves that trail off towards the handle. Sides of handle flare out slightly and then are notched before flaring out slightly again and then inwardly before flaring out to form the broad area of the end of the handle that is notched at the shoulder and then capped by a double domed silhouette that culminates in a point. Two thin molded stems rise from the narrow end of the handle and are illusionistically tied by molded bow at the notch of the handle. There are two buds in the narrow portion of the handle above this notch and then two large asymmetrical full carnations in high relief, one above the other, in a broad area at the end of the handle and a single bud in the double dome cap at the end of the handle. The reverse is similarly decorated with floral design seen from the underside. Carnation Pattern. CONDITION - Good. Some scratches and pitting in bowl and on heel of bow; Plate loss in hollow of bowl. Plate is generally bright.
