Mummy Masquerade

Thursday, October 26, 2017

7–11 pm

Martha A. and Robert S. Rubin Pavilion, 1st Floor

Just in time for Halloween, MeLo X and Jasmine Solano, aka Electric Punanny, host a seasonally spooky dance party in celebration of our special exhibition Soulful Creatures: Animal Mummies in Ancient Egypt, with an opening set by ADAIR. Wear your best costume (encouraged, but not mandatory) and dance the night away in our Rubin Pavilion. In our Egyptian Galleries, pop-up tours hosted by the ASK team reveal the truth about mummies, and how they became synonymous with Halloween. Includes a cash bar.

15% of proceeds from this event support hurricane relief on Barbuda, one of the Caribbean islands most affected by Hurricane Irma. We are also collecting donations for Hurricane Maria relief in Puerto Rico, and invite you to bring baby food, batteries, diapers, First Aid supplies, and feminine hygiene products for donation.

Tickets are tiered:

  • $16 advance tickets
  • $25 at the door

All tickets include entry to the party and the exhibition. Members receive 10% off (excluding early-bird tickets). To receive the Member code, email membership@brooklynmuseum.org with your full name and Membership ID. Not a Member? Join today!
