A Night with Eric N. Mack and Friends

Thursday, April 4, 2019

7–9 pm

Great Hall, 1st Floor

Experience Eric N. Mack’s site-specific installation Lemme walk across the room through a series of unique activations organized by the artist. First, Mack and curator Ashley James lead a special tour of the installation. Then, enjoy three artistic responses to Mack’s work. Poet and essayist April Freely offers a poetry set; Devin KKenny and Justin Allen present a new performance that incorporates manipulated found sound and tap dancing with movement, speech, and music; and MHYSA, the pop-star alter-ego of artist E. Jane, performs “Oasis,” which takes inspiration from R&B singer Kelis.

Schedule:

  • 7–7:30 Artist and curator tour
  • 7:30–7:45 April Freely
  • 7:45–8:15 Devin KKenny and Justin Allen
  • 8:15–8:45 MHYSA
