Private Curator-Led Tour: The Obama Portraits

Wednesday, October 6, 2021, 6–7 pm

    Join us for a private after-hours tour of The Obama Portraits. From the moment of their unveiling at the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery, Washington, D.C., in February 2018, the official portraits of President Barack Obama and Mrs. Michelle Obama have become iconic. Jane Dini, Andrew W. Mellon Senior Curator, American Art, will walk us through the exhibition and highlight works across our collection for an engaging conversation about the power of portraiture and its potential to engage communities.
