Thursday, March 10, 2016

Martha A. and Robert S. Rubin Pavilion, 1st Floor
Kick off our new book fair! While Hollywood struggles to imagine stories in which people of color live everyday lives, these contemporary authors effortlessly build diverse casts of characters. Join Tanwi Nandini Islam (Bright Lines) and Daniel José Older (Bone Street Rumba series) in a lively and critical discussion about creating art that actually represents the world we live in, and how a changing Brooklyn is at the center of their work. Moderated by Ashley C Ford.
Want more? Then come back on Saturday, March 12, for the main event of READ Brooklyn!
