Virtual Member Coffee Chat: Visuals in Black Fashion
Wednesday, October 19, 2022
12–12:45 pm
Join us for a conversation about innovation and creativity in Black fashion and the pioneering role Black designers and artists have always played in visual culture. Dr. Kimberli Gant, Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art, speaks with artist and designer Magnus Juliano and Sarah Diouf, designer and founder of Tongoro, as they discuss fashion, design, and the impact of Black artistry on every facet of global style culture. Afterward, participate in a live Q&A with the curator and designers.
Our virtual Coffee Chat series gives Members a chance to take a break during the day to engage with ideas, concepts, and art that reflect the Museum’s vision of sharing great art and courageous conversations.
