Inscriptions

In Braj, in red pigment in Devanagari script: Recto, above: When Krishna and Balarama were seated, Narada came and told them: "Your grandson has reached inside Shonitapura of Banasura, where a battle is taking place." After hearing this, Krishna and Baladeva sat in their chariot and marched to that place. (Trans. S. P. Tewari) Verso: After Banasura, Mahadev [Shiva] came mounted on Nandi, Swami Karttikeya came mounted on his peacock. Of the trio, Krishna and Balarama are ahead of Aniruddha. The battle is going on.
