On base: Standard registry diamond molded and applied “EDWD WALLEY,/VILLA POTTERY,/COBRIDGE,/APRIL 26th, 1851,”. “IV” impressed at top of registry diamond and “CERES” impressed at bottom of registry diamond indicating pattern name. Partially impressed double digit production number below registry diamond: “9”, second digit illegible. Small white rectangular adhesive label applied to inner mouth of jug marked “272”
