Object Label

This bowl was part of a hoard of silver vessels and other objects found in Egypt near the chapel of a Near Eastern goddess. It may have been made by Egyptians, but its style reflects the taste of the Achaemenid Persians who ruled Egypt during the late fifth and early fourth centuries B.C.E.
